I had an excellent customer experience at FastFrame this week. The owner, Tim O'Shaughnessy, greeted me and proved helpful and knowledgeable in framing two prints I had purchased. We discussed different frame, mat, and mounting board selections and the "conservation" quality of the materials they use. The selection process was fairly quick and he was able to help me choose just what I had imagined the finished product should look like. I decided on a frame that they had in stock which proved more economical and helped in their quick turnaround. Having visited one of the national chain arts and crafts stores first, I was impressed with the three business day frame creation and mounting time. Compare this with a less than interested staff and a two week wait at my first stop. As far as price, framing art is, as you probably know by searching for framing stores, not inexpensive. FastFrame was comparable in price to the other store and I believe even if I paid slightly more, the quality and expertise more than made it a value. Shop here, save yourself a headache and time. I first tried getting quotes from the local craft franchises to no avail (They couldn't even cut the glass to fit a custom size frame.) I decided that I would try out FastFrame to see what they had to offer. I was immediately greeted and helped by a very knowledgeable and experienced associate. He presented the best options for fixing my piece and explained everything in great detail. The expected turnaround time was three days, so you can imagine how shocked I was when he called to inform me it was ready the next day. WOW! They work with you every step of the way - the value of the piece the best way to frame it and protect it what's your budget best ways to ship a piece.
